School Leadership Experiences Abroad
Torikai Higashi Elementary School Administration Session
While attending a school leadership meeting in Osaka, Japan, Spencer engaged in a thorough analysis of this institution's risk management plan, family engagement procedures, instructional analysis, culturally responsive methods, and feeder school student transition events.
Osaka Gakuin High School Administration Session
This session addressed master scheduling, curriculum, extracurricular activities, and current graduation rate. Spencer participated in the collection of such details and was provided a tour of the facility.
Arima Junior High School Classroom Observation
Spencer observed the instructional practices of a language arts educator in Tokyo, Japan. He assessed student engagement, pedagogical savviness employed, and the overall management of the classroom. Additionally, Spencer actively participated in students' learning experiences.
Torikai Higashi Elementary School Classroom Observation
In addition to a school visit in Osaka, Japan, Spencer observed a 4th grade mathematics class. Students were in review of long division practices and were sharing input of each step of the process. Spencer evaluated the teachers performance in referenced to instructional strategies, classroom management, pacing, and autonomy of inclusive student input.
